My favorite way for design to exist - on beloved pieces of clothing. Had a tight deadline of one day per
T-shirt / hoody for this project, and a large part of that time I spent on figuring out what is it that brought this group of singers together.
The main visuals are based on amber - everchanging depending on the light, engulfed by moving sea waves, something to treasure.
The T-Shirt features all the songs the choir sung in the competition Koru Kari.
The publication tells a story about my grandmother and her journey as a postal worker in the Latvian country-side in the 90’s.
The publication is separated in two parts. In the first one I get to know the unique nature of the work and the social worker aspect of it. In the second part I go on her old daily route and capture what she saw back then.
Design-wise I was inspired by the oddities of the postal service world. Looking through the publication you can see parallels with the big numbers on postmarks, Latvian Postal service colors and shameless stamps.
