App “Klau“ is made for teenagers to have a safe space for discussing topics that are considered awkward.
With a new question everyday, they are encouraged to answer anonymously how they have handled a previous relatable situation or problem.
This was a team project with Kitija Pekaine, and together we conquered the research and figured out the content for the app. I was responsible for making fun illustrations, creating the color scheme and creating the logo design.
The publication tells a story about my grandmother and her journey as a postal worker in the Latvian country-side in the 90’s.
The publication is separated in two parts. In the first one I get to know the unique nature of the work and the social worker aspect of it. In the second part I go on her old daily route and capture what she saw back then.
Design-wise I was inspired by the oddities of the postal service world. Looking through the publication you can see parallels with the big numbers on postmarks, Latvian Postal service colors and shameless stamps.
